The Animation Workshop from Denmark is working hard to becoming one of the best in what they do. No so long ago they surprised friends and foes with there animation Mighty Antlers. No they are back. With Biorn. A Viking who is determined to end is life and move to Valhalla. But, this is not as easy as he had hoped.
Sound and audio have always been something special in the world of cinematography. The SoundWorks Collection lets us take a look behind the scenes at the people who are responsible for creating the sounds you hear on screen. Its inspiring to see how sounds were created back in the day.
Ryan Woodward is famous. Famous for creating multiple storyboards for big Hollywood productions. But, for his project Conte Animated he wanted to do something different. This time Ryan Woodward wanted to show us an exhibition of figurative works and experimental animation. Do yourself a favor and watch this animated movie. It is one of the most beautiful ever made.
Fijne identiteit, vooral het logo als enorm sculptuur. Gemaakt door Proud voor TV station Syfy. Ook de bumbers zijn fraai.
Ter promotie van This American life is er door Chris Ware & John Kuramoto een korte film gemaakt met in de hoofdrol een van de bekende karakters uit het brein van meester Ware. Ik was altijd al erg onder de indruk van de gedetaileerde boekomslag design van zijn boeken, bovenstaand filmpje geeft mooi de melancholische sfeer weer waarin al zijn verhalen zijn onder gedompeld. En nu hopen dat Jimmy Corrigan de volgende keer lijdend voorwerp is. De fraaie begeleidende muziek is van Andrew Bird.
Stemmige zwart-wit illustraties van mannen met lege ogen met baard, en versterkers die stiekem hoofden zijn, het werk van onze held McBess is legendarisch inmiddels maar sinds kort kunnen we zijn fantasie wereld ook zien bewegen! In bovenstaande video clip voor The Dead Pirates.
