Heineken figured out the best way to enter a party. The video reached over 4 million hits on youtube in just three weeks. There is also a little bit of Dutch pride because the commercial was created for Heineken by the Amsterdam office of leading advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy.
Coca-Cola released the video of the “Happiness Truck”, a sequel to the viral-hit “Happiness Machine.” The video takes place in Rio de Janeiro. It is a different story than of the “Happiness Machine” that gives out free Cokes, balloon animals and pizza at a college cafeteria. The truck gives away free Cokes, beach chairs, a surfboard, sunglasses, t-shirts and soccer balls to make the people happy. People have to push the ‘red button’ on the truck to get a present.
The “Happiness Machine” took more then 3.2 million hits on the internet. I wonder how long it takes before the truck-video reached this number?

Flash mobs are hot these days. T-mobile was very succesfull with their dance at Liverpool Street Station. Fashion brand Moncler Grenoble took it to a whole other level. They combined their new winter collection with a flash mob catwalk at Grand Central Station in New York. Very special!

The world cup in South Africa was just 7 months ago but the cup allready on the move. Before it lands in Brazil in 2014 the trophy is going on a promotional tour. 83 countries around the world will be visited. Coca Cola supports FIFA by creating commercials where the consumer is made aware that de cup is on its way. Allthough we don’t think it’s likely that the 18 carat gold statue is going to travel in a truck, we do think that the commercial is very cool.

A viral works! The new commercial of Volswagen is proof of a commercial that works online. Advertisers are starting to see the benefit of a successful online viral marketing campaign. The ad ad for the new 2011 Passat sedan with a 10 year old Darth Vader is a well executed viral video and is spread through social networks like wild fire. Since then advertisers have been trying to reproduce the effect. The ad is set to air during the Super Bowl but the Youtube version of the ad is going viral throughout, YouTube, Twitter and FaceBook. More then 13 million hits in 5 days. This time the Force is strong!
